Question by Kimia: How to make someone stop smoking?
I know smoking is really unhealthy, so i’m trying to make the person stop smoking. I really care about her cause she’s in my family and no matter how many times i tell her to stop she says she will but she keeps smoking and getting new packets. It’s really annoying.. Should i just stop telling her to stop or should i do something else? HELP?!

You can’t MAKE anyone stop smoking…unfortunately.

I would know. I have respiratory ailments and allergies and I have strict doctors’ orders to stay away from cigarette smoke, and that doesn’t stop my family – even my own mother – from lighting up around me. They simply do not take it seriously. It seems like most smokers just ignore what smoking can and will to do them until it’s too late.

Probably you shouldn’t waste your time telling your relative to stop smoking. You’re just wasting your breath. Just stay away from her smoke.
